CYBERSECURITY IN LATAM

Cybersec Cluster is a dynamic platform driven by agile multi-sector collaboration. We focus on fostering innovation, accelerating business opportunities, and strengthening the cybersecurity ecosystem by supporting foreign direct investment (FDI) and promoting strategic cooperation.

Founded in Costa Rica in 2022, Cybersec Cluster was born as a catalyst for opportunities for the secure and agile development of cybersecurity in the region. Our creation was made possible thanks to Executive Decree No. 43425-MEIC-MTSS, which established the National Cluster Program (PNC) and declared it of public interest. This program, supported by the Inter-American Development Bank, seeks to improve productivity, competitiveness, innovation, linkages, and employment at the national and regional levels.

This mission gradually transformed into a regional vision, where cybersecurity is understood as a cross-cutting axis of cooperation and strategic positioning for the development of Latin America.

WHY CYBERSEC CLUSTER?

Currently, the Cybersec Cluster is made up of more than 80 organizations in the sector, including companies, academic institutions, and government entities, all committed to the development of cybersecurity in the region.
Through this collaborative network, we promote initiatives that strengthen talent, foster innovation, and create strategic opportunities for the growth of the digital ecosystem in Latin America. Together, we work to consolidate a more secure, resilient, and competitive environment globally.

To position ourselves as leaders in the strengthening of cybersecurity capabilities and related emerging technologies in the Latin American and Caribbean region, promoting competitiveness, innovation and the welfare of the population.

To facilitate the articulation and connection of the cyber ecosystem in Latin America, with the purpose of conceiving and implementing measures of great impact in the advancement of cybersecurity and related emerging technologies, oriented towards competitiveness and the welfare of society.
